  • Collecting EEG and behavioural experimental data from visually impaired children aged 4-18 who have been treated for congenital cataract to observe visual learning and development after sight restoration surgery.

​

  • Conducting longitudinal experiments with children who are treated for congenital cataract to track visual functions (acuity, contrast sensitivity, orientation discrimination), visual cognition (object recognition, attention, motion tracking and visual memory) higher cognitive abilities (social attribution, biological motion and drawing) and neural correlates of facial recognition with EEG, by comparing performance before and after corrective surgery.

  • Involved in literature review, experimental design, paper writing and patient outreach.

  • Interactions with first-time patients to the ward, collected case histories from patients and their family, observed and assisted with IQ assessments using Malins Intelligence Scale For Indian Children (MISIC), Wechsler's Adult intelligence Scale (WAPIS), and Vineland Social Maturity Scale (VSMS), and specific learning disability(SLD) assessments.
